MovieMart
Every now and then you come across a service which is really good and must be commended. I must say MovieMart is exceptional. It deserves a special mention mainly because its one of those services where everything is well tied in. The brick and mortar seems to work well with the online and the quality and promptness is uncommon for an area like Delhi!
I found out about Movie Mart through a friend, he had been using the service for a few weeks and was raving about it. I got back home and went to register on their site. Things went fine till it came to credit card details, for some reason MasterCard was no longer being accepted even though their logo still showed as one of the options. Anyways, I just continued with the registration hoping it would all work. I got an email confirmation within seconds, but what surprised me more was I got a phone call within an hour. “Sir, there is a problem with your registration, if you would like to retain this ID (its linked to an email id) then please send us a cheque!” The customer care executive was polite and extremely helpful and sorted the issue out very rapidly. The next day he sent someone over to collect a cheque and our account was activated. What surprised me even more, is that when the guy came to collect the cheque, he happily offered me movies from the collection he was carrying. I did ask if he would like to wait for the cheque to clear, but it did not seem to matter to him at all. Very trusting indeed.
Well, that got my membership started off, I chose the option of Rs.399/per month for not more than 10 movies for the month and not more than 2 movies on rent at a time. I found that anything higher was an overkill as I would never get to see that many movies anyways.
How it works, you go online and book the movies you want to see from a fairly extensive list. If you book before 1300 hrs you get the movie by the evening. Your account online has a “wishlist” that you can keep adding movies to and as you book them they get knocked off the list and move to your “Seen” movies list. All very well managed.
A few days ago, Jyoti booked a movie, promptly she was called and told that the print was “terrible” for some reason and would she like another movie instead. Of course offering some that were on our wishlist.
In all, if you live in New Delhi or the neighbouring towns or Mumbai and its neighboring towns, do check out Moviemart, it works well is not very expensive and sitting the in comfort of your home you get to see good movies. All original DVDs or VCDs depending on the age of the movie.
Happy watching!

PS: did I mention “No Late Fees” so you can keep the movie for as long as you need to!
Hi
Thanks fo the info.I have also become the member of MovieMart and its truely exceptional.Surprisingly now they are offering one hour service in South and West Delhi and its Rs 199 p.m. for unlimited Movies. This is great.
MovieMart seems to have removed the 10 movie limit and made it unlimited movies, so now you can enjoy it even more. Works really well.

I am using MovieMart service for quite some time now.Its value for money.I watch app 25 movies everymonth. All DVDs are original and service is great. The best thing about their site is you can see what all is available, which is not their in the any on line DVD rental in the world like Netflix etc. They all want you to make a que and they will send you whatever is available.I will strongly recommend the service to everyone.Cheers–Sharron
In Mumbai we have a great service - http://www.clixflix.com. They have been around since 2004. They have an awesome catalogue and great pricing. They also have 7 stores in Mumbai. Its very convenient as I can call, sms, or even request my films online.
I haven’t looked around in Delhi, but in the past few months I certainly have seen bunches of new services such as Moviemart pop up. Clixflix looks very similar to Moviemart, the fact they have been around since 2004 and have over 8500 movies is great. I wish they would open in Delhi as well.

Hi Kishore
you had commended Moviemart services.Trust me i am having an amazing experience about what is called as professionality from them. The biggest Buzz around is that online movie rentals don’t have DvD’d available most of the time(especially the new released movies). But Moviemart always have the availability and have an excellent and outstanding service. The customer care is also very helpful and reacts immediately to any popped up issues/customer vows. Moviemart does the same efficiently. In short if you are looking for the best services Moviemart is to be blindly picked up.
Cheers
