April Fools
Today is one day to watch out for. Most of the sites you visit will have some gems hidden away. I went to check my mail on Gmail and came across “Introducing Gmail Paper” on the login page. Harmless enough and funny. But what was scary is what I saw on Engadget, a muscle relaxing electrocution, god forbid someone actually tries this out. They even have options for friends and family!
CNN Money is carrying a story on wireless power. PC Magazine has a story on turning phones into weapons!
Slashdot has yet to come out with its own story, but over the years one has learned to be wary of them. Last year it was scary, they turned the whole site into a horrid “pink” theme! Thank god for RSS readers, one did not have to visit the site!
All I can say today is beware of what you read. There are going to be a whole lot of prank reports out there. Sit back and enjoy them.
