I nowadays prefer Shatabdhi (BLR - MAA ) rather than flying which I used to do. It takes 5.5 hrs to reach Chennai and wioth utter less chaos! Infact one of my friends said that the design is pathetic that two wide bodied aircrafts cannot stand next to each other using the aero bridges. And also there are 8 aero bridges only while Chennai already has 6. I am not sure why they built this airport with such stupid design flaws.

1. I agree with you on the design of the last gate before you enter the aircraft. Once they announce departure of the flight its complete chaos and design does not allow people to stand in queue.

2. I have been flying Indigo lately and love the fact that they are ALWAYS on time. You must try it next time. Also, they serve (on sale) very nice and fresh sandwiches (spinach-corn one is my favourite.)

3. Were you able to pop mail or SSH from BIAL wifi connection? I couldnot.

4. I learn that a chopper service is being started to get you to the BIAL from MG road. I am told they charge Rs. 1,500 per passenger and are available from the UB building on MG Road. (I have not seen this myself but heard about it from a client)

I was at the new Bangalore Airport on the 27th June Evening on my incoming and 28Th June evening on my outgoing. As soon as we entered the new building, you can already see the much on the cross beams and struts as you take the escalators. I agree the pillars are such a bad design. The Gate signs are pretty tough to read if you are at one end, and the information system LCD is small and stuck close to pillars as well making you get around to view the screen. The embarkation gate was really slow as well. I agree with the taxi situation, whoever planned it should be fired.
